This kind of thing happens every day in this country (although usually not to this extreme degree) law enforcement has to do something to fight the corruption within itself, it takes only one p.o.s. cop to lie or stretch the truth to fuel their ego, and it grows from there, the second on scene in trained to listen to the first without question, as you can see in this case a low level local simply fuel his ego by causing the highest levels of law enforcement in to make him appear as the savior of the airport... The long term effect of these situations is a gradual distrust of law enforcement, and its a shame because believe it or not there are still honest cops that genuinely care and have their hearts in the right place and their egos in check, unfortunately the effect that this type of vermin has on the public's view of law enforcement often overrides the good that is done by honest officers. For one thing, officers unions need to be abolished, if your a cop and you do something questionable, you should be gone, with no second chances... you can argue that belief, but does the general public get a second chance? I think not...

dam huffieva after that i dont have anything to say you covered it all . its a shame how the few ruin it for the good cops. i am personally one of the people that mistrust officers due to run ins when i was younger, i was hassled for haveing nice cars, so i had to be a drug dealer, not just a kid who worked 16 hour days 6 days a week to afford my car habit.

I've had a knee dropped in the middle of my back by an over zealous cop, and I lived with one for 21 years. I spent a lot of sleepless nights as a kid wondering if my dad was coming come.. Cops have to deal with more than you could ever guess to handle what they do daily. Some get mean, some do the job by the letter of the law. I've seen both sides close up. As a punk in the 80's in Orange County I've been hit by my share of batons. :-)

It's like instant @$$hole just add alcohol. The same thing happens to certain people when you hand them a badge and a gun.

Since we are on the subject, I think Rodney King deserved the beatdown he got. Another thing to know.. if you run from the cops and get caught, they are more than likely going to rough you up. It's part of the game and you signed up for it when you ran.

WOW! At about the third paragraph into the story i was beginning to think it was fiction or happened in some other country! Its an amazing disgrace that an American citizen was subjected to this gross mishandling of the law. And yet, some in power dont even want law enforcement to check citizenship status of questionable people in a traffic stop to catch illegals???? I wonder how long before some terrorist jihadist sneaks across our southern border to kill more of our people? Its only a matter of time with policies and law enforcement practices that protect the so-called "rights" of "undocumented immigrants" while trampling the rights of REAL American citizens into the dust! What backward times we live in!

Bull trailpro move on the officers part. She had every right to take a photograph if she wanted to.

I feel that the officer is going to dishonorably lose his badge. "To protect and serve." my ass. This is why I don't trust any officer.
