350X frame support?

Guys I'm kind of confused on something I'm reading on here. What are the frame supports some of you are having welded under the seat. I have an '86 350X and the frame is fine, but while it's apart do I need to have some support added somewhere?

I've got a few threads on them, unfortunately, this one doesn't show underneath the seat but I know I've shown it in other threads........

id get gusets put in while your frame is still good amost everywhere dirtcrasher puts them my frame is cracked welded or bent
