Go too falcon or crank works. Its a bit more expensive than powrolls cranks. But a Heck of alot better quality.

Send in a new vershaw rod too if you go with works or falcon and they'll press it in for ya too.

They DO NOT Shrink rods though. So you can have falcon make a spacer plate for you. (I think in my opinon keeping a stock length rod with a spacer plate is heck of alot better than powroll does to there crank rods to shrink em!)

Nothing wrong with shrinking the stock rod to get your stock deck heights back. The only problem I had with the Powroll cranks was when we ran big bore or 13:1 pistons. The way the bush the crank to off set the pin 3mm's left the fly weights too thin and they broke. But again this was a high HP motor, not really what they built them for.

Over the years I have found that the big bore motors run better with out a stroker. IMO.

Building a spacer plate and the making a longer cam chain is a pain. Then if you are not a engine builder and don't know how to re-degree a cam in and slot the cam gear you are going to have a hard time getting the power back out of it after spending a lot of money. JMO.

If you can press it in yourself why can't you find a rod? Does Vesrah work if nothing else is available?

I just read an add on EBAY that they give you a new rod/pin/bearing/washers and press it in/true it for like 135$ or so; I forget but it was reasonable and not Vesrah.
