That's pretty cool. Is there a video? Was it like an expedition? More information please bud.

No video that I know of. :( No expedition...but an exhibition:lol:, 2nd year in a row for the 3 wheel race.... Local Pro-Am areanacross race with a couple westcoast lights racers, a freestyle show, pit bike race and 3 wheeler race. We even get to race for free!:Bounce Hardest part was the rhythm section (ruts), woops were easy. There were four 185-200's and three 110's, all hard tails. Ended up doing 6 laps, we thought we were only doing 3-4, tough without suspension. Just a big goof off race, with funky gear, suits and jumps suits. :wondering

Haha I was there! My friend Jake has won both years now on his 185s.

I walked right through the pits after the race, I should have talked to all the trike riders.

I could have run my 78' Atc 90 but there was no way I could compete with the 185's.

I should have stole easymoney's yt125 in my garage!

I promised Jake I would find a bike to compete with next year

Rules were no rear suspension and no clutch right?

No rules, just goofing around, Dustin sets it up....

I agree! would love to get some us on 450's down there and tear it up!

I can talk to some friends and see what I can do. If we can get 4 or 5 big bikes, maybe they will let us run 2 different races?

Its really just a side show event for fun at the moment. Kevin, you should throw that by Dustin for next year. I would definitely take my 250r out there.

Jake was saying no suspension or clutch, but even if Dustin is saying there are no rules I would feel like a dick taking even a 200x out there and waxing everyone.

Maybe next year we will just have a bunch of big trikes show up and force them into 2 races. It looked like they were trying to stretch things out and fill the time.

Sorry I brought this up.:( The 3 wheeler race is meant as a laugher with guys on 3 wheelers and no suspension, goofing around with wierd gear, not trying to 'wax' somebody and 'forcing' someone to let you race. :wondering

Damn that looks like fun. Too bad my 200s has front suspension cuz I'd love to participate

Why don't you guys get a class together for RVMX, I'm sure for $35 per racer and 5 riders they'll let you race.

Well, this could be a big deal. I mean, 3-wheeler races on the Western side of the North American States. I've drove to OR for Rodeo's, this would definately lure me to race. And so many members with hot trikes right there close. The OTC had to start somewhere to get the racing they have going. And even Kintore and I'm sure a few others would help out by showin' at a few. I'm feeling a touch excited fellas, this could be very cool. And ya, Bretmd94, I've seen your posts on wanting to race (desert etc.) make something happen bud, this'd be cool.:naughty:

oh I know its meant as a goofing around type race. I have no doubt that they would not let us pull off a 250 race. I am just very competitive as are a couple of the guys already participating. I just meant I wouldn't want to go out there on a 200x and kill the competition, but I do want to be on something fast enough to make it close and mainly beat Jake. Can't have some dirt biker winning the trike events in my home town.

And cr480r, a couple guys had 185s's with the front forks. Your 200s would have been right in place. Its really the optimal bike. But keep in mind, there was a lot of rubbing. The first corner had one of the nastiest trike wrecks I have seen. Looked like the kids arm got dislocated.

Eh I am not a fan of the owners. Mainly the son. Went out there on my 450 quad a few times years ago, even raced once. The son was harassing a buddy of mine on his quad one day, cussing at him and telling him quads don't belong here. If he wasn't 15 I would have kicked his ass right there. I believe it is the same son that was racing that night in the Arenacross Race.

The dirt bike riders really have no respect for quads and less for trikes in this area. You get a couple idiots with sleeveless shirts and no helmets doing doughnuts in the parking lots up at Johns Peak and they assume we are all the same. Its too bad.

That track is crap anyways, with all the badass places to make a mx track here and all we have is a tiny one in a crap hole with overpriced entry fee's and jerks for owners. No thanks

I do have a pic on my photobucket from that one race I did. It had to be 2004.

He just popped it back into place. He's a freestyle, MX, woods guy, used to crashing....

Step up to the plate and put an event on. There's another guy down here who wants to do a Quad GP race, you could probably add trikes too. You should hook up with him and go for it.

Oh, I see. There are only maybe 4 guys in the entire Great Falls area with race type trikes. I know one that is pretty die-hard, the rest forget about. What I mean to say is after not being able to ride bulls and compete in the arena, & being an athlete my whole life, I crave to compete. Heck, I did it nearly every week end (and weekdays) for 17 years. We do have 3 tracks I discovered, and lots of dirt drags at mudbogs etc.. But like I said, not enough to fill the heat, and if they did come out I'd want some competition, honestly no one could give me that. Heck, we have a tranplanted CA Tecate racer in Kalispell, John Rogers, who I got my Tecate from, but just not enough people or money in this state to make anything happen. I see so many hot trikes in OR, & I have family there, that's why I thought about it Bret, I even considered climbing on a couple of bulls again to kick some @$$ I want to compete and win so bad, lol.

In our OTC races we wrote in the "B class" to include A class racers on 125's and the little modded 70's, and that is more fun than racing the race trikes. Keep it fun, and make it obvious you are having fun! Thats what the public wants to see. Check out the B Class videos from Summit Indoors.

Oh really??? hmm

I know at the time, I had several friends on quads. We talked about making a gp style track with a no motorcycle rule because we were so fed up with the local track.

Do you have the information for this guy? I would be willing to put the effort into an event. Easymoney works for an excavation company in town. They are small and have weeks of down time in between jobs. Might be able to get cheap machinery out to where ever the track is. I doubt we can find insurance to cover trikes, we can just call them all ATV's for the time being ;)

PM me you email or contact info and I'll send it to the guy. I told him you said you have "badass place to make a mx track here" and a buddy who can help do the work, :Bounce. Finally someone stepping up who's willing to put his money where his mouth is! :beer:beer:beer Where ever your 'badass place to make a mx track' is located hopefully I can take some laps on the 3 wheeler and my quad.
