I heading to Cycles R Us to pick up a swingarm for the Shee and some Foremen rear rims for my logging trailer and I noticed on there ebay store a manual tensioner for TTR225 and I was thinking this would be great for my DX. I hate chain slap as the next guy and I fairly certain thats the same engine, Any thoughts, pro or cons.

Seems like there was a thread last week or so
and someone was going to try it and get back to us.
The description of that thing makes me wonder how I ever lived without it.
If it's for the 250, I happen to have a dismantled sx some 'shop' stole the
stator coil out of so I got it for parts.
Heck, Maybe I'll buy one so I can see what it looks like internally before it gets bolted to
the outside of a perfectly running machine.

I don't think the top halfs are any different on both engines just a decade newer, I know my old warrior and old suzie 185 had a manual set up and they are both don't make that much cam chain noise. I've replaced the cam chain once over the years and did a valve job about 10 years ago and she still sound . This just looked like a good idea.
