honda 250es big red rear hand brake lever

Can someone tell me if the 85-87 rear hand brake/reverse levers are the same? I need to replace mine and looking on eBay some are listed for 85 only and others for 85-87. Mine is an 86'. Pics all look identical.:confused: Is there differences I should look for??:wondering

I have an 84 es and am not sure what you mean by rear hand brake reverse lever, are you just talking about the hand brake lever, as mine wont put it in reverse I have to reach down and switch it over in neutral with the pull knob. Are you looking for the knob or the hand brake lever?

The hand brake lever. It has another bracket in the perch and a "button" on top of the lever that pushes down a pin to engage the second bracket. It has an "R" on the plastic cap so I assumed that was used somehow to engaged the bike into reverse. Sorry first 3 wheeler and I'm learning as I go. Is mine supposed to have a pull knob for the same purpose. Haven't found one of those

I got a right side lever for my 86 from a guy with an 85 parted out, and it fit perfect. Not sure about the reverse one though.
