I just got an 85 bigred running like a dream.

No brakes and I really don't care too much,
but if I was going to do one or the other, which has
less complications?
I just re read the front axle bolt seize problem
but have been hitting them all with liq wrench for months.

My back has been totally wasted for a couple weeks now
so the easiest option would be best.

I just don't feel like fighting with anything these days.

Thanks

The rear brake just rub by the foot pedal cable is easiest to do. I never could get the left bar lever AND the foot pedal to have the same feel so I just used the foot cable.

Definitely the rear brakes. very easy to do, take your right rear wheel off, undo two screws ( might be a pain in the ass ) I had to heat the screws, hammer the hell out of a number 3 square bit, put the screwdriver on that number 3, used vicegrips to turn the screwdriver, while trying to turn by hand. Wasnt fun. Still, way easier to do than my fronts. That damn axle is a pain in the ass.

Thanks you guys.

I'll start soaking the screws you speak of too.

Sounds like the impact screwdriver comes out too.

Never worried too much about brakes but I guess rolling backwards down a hill
with a trailer or load of logs would convince me otherwise.

Thanks

For the front axle... Used a impact gun on it, and let it rattle.... It will come out...

I have a cute 3/8"cp gun and a 1/2 drive too.

just keep it set on low? and rattle back and forth.
Keep soaking w/ pb or liq wrench?
Propane?
I guess that bolt has a good inch of aluminum to seize to.

Thinking the rear might be easier but I guess I better keep both
options open.

This particular br seems like it has suspension and eng work done.
It honestly seem tons different than the others.

It's so cool, I prefer it over the others even without brakes.

Almost like a super stable sx.

Throw the big one at it, with a 6pt socket, and let it buck... Took a few seconds of rattling, and mine came right out...
