Shoot! I was flipping through some old issues of an ATV newspaper called ATV news. Right after the test of the 1985 Tri Z there is an ad for a company called JP Racing.

They had offered a big bore piston kit for the Tri Z that was 317 cc and included a jug and piston!

Have any of you Tri Z owners come across anything like this? What about 80's model YZ 250's will the cylnders fit on the Tri Z and is there a big bore kit available for those bikes that might fit on the Triz Z?

I sure wish I could buy that old kit!! Man the 00's suck!

There was a 360 Kit for YZ250s. I've got a mag somewhere from the early 90s where they test it. maybe Noleen made it? I have no idea if it would even work out on a Z. or if you can even get them anymore.

JP racing also made the best looking aluminum fuel tank for a Tri-Z in my opinion.

I'm pretty sure Mike From Long Island bought one of those kits, couldn't find a piston for it, and then re-sold it. Might be wrong though.

I wonder if JP is still in business? I seem to remember hearing the name not that long ago???

Just did a little search and according to this web page JP is now known as LoneStar.

HRC200x, JP Racing is definately gone... In my quest for the "Right" Tecate parts I found ex-Factory Kawi rider Steve Mendenhall. Steve was in business with JP Racing and actually ran the East Coast division of JP in the mid 80's. Jim or John Perry is the guy that used to own JP but I have no idea where to find him.

Good luck and let me know what you find....

Curtis.
