Hey guys I missed the boat on the fender order. I need a set of greens, are there any out there? Just wondering if there may be another order. I would take 2 sets. Any ideas? Please!

Don't want to bring you down partner, but you just missed some rear newer maiers on e-bay:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/84-85-Kawasaki-Tecate-250-3-Wheeler-Rear-Fender-/190514985739?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c5b93fb0b. They went for cheap, missed em' by a week and they went for $136.99, shipped, which was a steal. There are a few sets out there extra that folks have though.

No guarantee but maybe by chance Maier would have some seconds from the order, it wouldn't hurt to give them a call and check...

Hey good idea. Does anyone know what the minimum per order was? It looks like it was 5 per color, but what was the minimum for them to do a package deal? Ya that ebay deal sounds like my luck... A day late and a dollar short. Thanks guys.

Ok I just got off of the phone with maier. They said the would break out the molds again and poor a minimum of 5 sets of the same color. it will be the low profile fender front and back for the 84/85 tecate. I am going to buy 2 greens, so we need 3 more green sets. Is anyone interested? It looks like it will be about $300. If I can get three more comitments I will get an exact number on the package and let you know. lets get this done asap. thanks.

How about black? The Mosh's are selling a set of black fenders.. If I was to try selling my set of black fenders I'd have asked more than they are. Good deal for some new black fenders

Ya Doug, I had one buyer back out, and I need the room. I figure they should sell at that price.

coyoteklr, just sayin' partner, that is a steal, and the black fenders are the rarest fenders for Tecate's. Mrs. Mosh is selling them for cheap, no kiddin'. And my black fenders are outstanding, they look incredible. There has been 39 sets of fenders ordered from Maier within the last year. 14 green, 11 white, 7 black, and 7 reds. Over $11,000.00 worth. Not only that, the Tecate fellas cleaned out an old shop in AZ of all the fenders he had stashed, and the Tecate Group has sucked everything decent off e-bay. I'm just trying to emphasize to you coyote, this is an excellent deal only because Mrs. Mosh is so busy they don't have the room. If you wait expect to pay $100+ more in the very near future, I wouldn't let my blacks go for under $450+shipping. However, another purchase of 5 greens would be a great long term investment for you.

Is there black gas tanks available somewhere? I am not opposed to buying black fenders - the search has been terrible for green - but I would prefer to change the tank too.

Clarke sells black 84-85 tanks but the quality is severely lacking. Clarke themselves even say they suck.

dcreel is right. This may help. I haven't got around to attemping to do this:http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=611365. But if you look at the thread, it's successfull & will work for black. If not:http://www.dcvmx.com/xcart/product.php?productid=17940. A little sanding and prep work on a stock tank and it will turn out 10x's nicer than a new junk Clarke tank for 1/2 the price.

Thanks! I have a spare tank so I am going to give it a shot. I'll take before and after pics, as well as pics of the process, to see what happens when green turns black. Worst case, I would buy the tank cover...I would not buy the Clarke until they brought their QC up to an acceptable level.

Ya, let me know fella's. I'm curious. The weather is still iffy here (more snow this morning) so I was worried about keeping the garage warm enough etc.. That would work good for the price. Heck, even if it has to be skinned (which I doubt) the black on the underside isn't noticable and it'd be only around a hundred bucks or so.
