any suggestions?

Do this ALL slow and careful! Most shops simply throw it all away! Stuff your cases with rags, lots! Take a hacksaw, saw your piston in half, down to the rod. Take a cold chisel and split it. Pistons, now off, next part requires ALOT of time getting set up right. Works best w 2 or 3 people. You need to have your rod secured solid,we do it against a very big vise. Or a vise that you can actually get the rod into, point is with your rod held TIGHT,so it cannot get bent. You can drive the old wrist pin out. You will then need to ream the rod end back out. Been doing this 30 years, never a problem,,other than slightly tweaking a rod or two. But you HAVE to have everything secured,And it will pound out of there! Again, most places will just tell you to split it and get a new crank or rod. Good luck!!

What i've done for wrist pins that were stuck... Find a socket that fits in the piston and makes good contact with the wrist pin. Get a buddy to hold something heavy and apply alot of pressure against the opposite side of the wrist pin. Smack socket with hammer. Do not let your buddy slip up - you can probably(never have) hurt the rod if you mess this up. Buddy's job is to keep rod from moving side to side as you smack it.

This is similar how atc007 does it, but with a little more redneck in it.

Can't you just heat it up for 30 seconds with a torch? That's how I got mine out.

Sometimes,,but more often than not. They have just Welded themselves in there. Then ,the more heat, the more the rod wants to bend! But yes,you can try heating it first! Good luck!

When you are heating the rod you can get it to go just slightly blue but no more - that is hot enough.

There is a tool you can fabricate to pull the pin though. Use a long threaded rod small enough to go through the middle of the pin, with nut and thick washer just smaller than the pin diameter at one end. Then a tube about 50mm long with an ID a bit bigger than the pin shaped to sit on the piston side at the other and a big heavy washer to close the end of the tube. Put another nut on lube it and start tightening it up. You may need a deep socket on the end which pulls the end of the pin, to stop it turning. It also helps to put a little heat into the rod end. You shouldn't need a big hammer.

I thought about this a little more.. just take a dremel and cut the piston where the wrist pin goes in, a single cut should do it. From there, just use a screw driver and pry that part you cut open. That way there is not lateral force on it. I've never had 1 so hard i couldn't tap out with a hammer. If your good with a drill, you could drill it out... but that's tough stuff.
