I just bought a new standard chain for my 86 200x and its too short, my old one was beat to hell so I thought that's why it was loose but I think its probably because it has 15/38 sprockets on it. I tried adjusting it and it won't work, does anyone know where I can get a half like for this or some trick to losen the chain that I don't know. Thanks in advance

Did you loosen the swing arm and the chain adjusters up and slide the whole thing all the way forward? The stock chain should fit since I think stock gearing is 13/42....

weird...you could always put a 14 on the front...I had an 85 and I felt the gearing was spot on with 18 inch holeshots, and 14/40 gearing but that's a preference. If you like the gearing you have and don't want to go to a smaller front tooth then I guess your only option is to buy a 1 link longer chain. As for a half link somebody like these guys http://www.sprocketsunlimited.com/ should be able to help you there. Good luck brotha!

Your rear sprocket is stock 38T ,your front should be 13T stock ,your 15T gives you more speed but less power. You can buy a new front sprocket on ebay for less than 15 bucks shipped, you may get by with a 14T also.
