hello all. i came into posession of a old suzuki alt 185 last fall. it runs great except for a few things.

it needs a pull starter because every time i have to start it i have to run, jump on, and throw it in gear. (pain in the butt in the winter)

it needs new forks. the ones that are on there are really bad. and the handle bars are not even tightened all the way. i can wiggle them A LOT!!!! yet i still ride it.

it doesnt idle very well unless warmed up for a good 20 minutes. otherwise i have to have the choke on at the right spot to make sure the engine doesnt die. but if i have it too high the engine races.

my tires are not sealed properly either. i need to inflate them every time i drive it.

before all this i replaced the rear end bearings and seals because the axle had a massive amount of play in it. now it is stiff. except for the axle being bent slightly.

someday i want to do a full rehab on it but most of my money is going into my truck as of right now.

i am only 19 almost 20 and i picked this up for 50 bucks. just something to have fun with. nothing to show or shine.

if anyone can refer someplace to get these parts please do. nobody around here seems to find parts for this thing anymore.

go on ebay and search for the LT and ALT models. The 125 and 185 are basicly the same. I found a guy in MI parting out 125 and he cut me a deal on shipping. I picked up a skidplate, footpegs, headlight, tank cover w/odometer, and few other odds and ends for 50 bucks and 12 bucks in shipping. The pull start can come off either the 3 or 4 wheeler. As far as warm it up, they are a little cold blooded, but check your air hoses for cracks or leaks, it will lean it out and cause it to jump around at idle. I've had mine for 26 years and she a lil tank.
