hi i just bought a (what im told) is an 85 yamaha 200 tri moto chain drive, it runs great but it won't idle by its self, iv cleaned the carb 3 times and still no luck, played with settings and no help either. also im wondering what the stock plug is for this trike as right now it has a NGK DPR8EA plug in it but when i look up the stock plug it is a DP7E which i put in but the trike won't start with it in (ive tried two different plugs too) the DP7 is a shorter plug then the DP8 i'm just wondering what is doing on here. I also have an 85 yamaha 225dx and it takes the DP7 plug . If anyone has any info for me that would be greatly appreciated. thanks alot

There is the service manual Brett. Right click the link and save as a pdf file.

There are plenty on 200 owners that will chime in here I am sure.

Just looked and the stock plug is a D7EA for the 200 and the 225DX

I am running a Champion Plug I got at Alfs Cant remember the number though

yea iv found that too but i cant find just the D7EA plug any where so the DP7E plug is all i found and i just assumed it was the same, and it works great in my 225 but not at all in the 200 so its just playing with my head haha.

reallly I had my local auto parts store order one in for me it was here quick and easy had them order in an iridium one as well, the D8EA is just a hotter plug to help with trikes that are a lil more hopped up so they don't run too rich
