Although I can appreciate a restored ATC, what really interests me is a wheeler that is untouched and original....or close. Post some photos of wheelers you own, have owned or have an opportunity to take a picture of. I'll start with a 77 ATC90 I used to own. The only non original parts are the rear tires. I'll dig a little for some other wheelers in a while.

Yes dcreel, photos that are over 25 years old count as all original. Its just cool to see them the way I remember them when I would walk through the dealerships.

And Jaketrimoto, your Big Red is sweet. I dont think I've seen one that nice. Thanks for posting it.

http://250xfiles.webs.com/100MEDIA95IMAG0154.jpg

not even aftermarket handlebars. come to think of it, it didn't even have them at all. the engine is intact and in super shape, tires are orig 84's and shot. other than tires, a seat cover, and plastic, and the superficial rust and fork boots on the forks, this thing is actually in pretty good condition. the plastics are pretty good though it appears someone 12 o clocked it and broke both side just above the mud flaps. it hasn't been touched since 1988. 1-2oz of gas, new rope in recoil, choked it and it started first pull and ran smooth for 8-10 seconds.

(yes I know its not mint, i wish it were, and will be once again someday) BUT, it is original

Ohatsu knobbies. the gentlman i picked this up from handed me the original sales receipt. he purchased it new. I was told," my brother and I used this every now and again on the farm here. My son ended up flipping it over so we parked it. I started removing things to rebuild it again and this is as far as it got. it's been sitting back there in the barn for more than 20 years."

Here is my old all origional (minus the rear tires) 85' 225dx. I bought it in 1995 and sold it in 1998. I wish I could remember who I sold it to. Probably destroyed by now. I severly regretted selling it.

Stay tuned for my sky blue 85 225dr I just picked up. All origional. I've been looking for a LONG time for one like this.

I believe they didn't buy new ones if they would say so. I just picked up a 85 225dr and the origional decals are in really good shape. No fades with the origional decals. I think it all depends how it was kept up. Where it was stored is also a big factor.

yes, correct. my 1982 185S has PERFECT decals. nice and bright. thats what no sunlight will achieve. keeping a bike covered or inside is all the difference in the world. nice plastic, nice paint, nice decals, and nice soft rubber on everything like the grips, older style pegs, tires, and the old mud flaps. also the cable casings., and especially the seat. which we all know how much those can go for in original perfect condition.

here's my old 110, i think it was an 82 or 83? almost all original, as far as i know. the seat had been recovered, and the rims looked like someone painted them primer grey, but other than that i think it was comepletly stock. these are the pics i used to sell it on ebay :(

hope these ok to list here too. :wondering

85 125M not the prettiest, but i'm proud of it. non-original items are tires, plug, twist throttle, air filter, key ignition (damaged/missing after theft) and the tabs the previous owner welded to the crosstube on the forks.
141497 141498

85 YT60 (Tri-Zinger i sold my brother) non-original stuff, tires, not 100% sure on the decals and i pretty sure the seat has been recovered.
141499

73 ATC70. bit rough IMO, but still basicly original except the rear tires, painted tank, exhaust and a few missing bits.
141500

and to speak for my buddy, his 85 250ES. non-original rear tires, seat cover, power plug in the trunk and the new spotlight he recently added (not in pic).
141501

still learning about stuff and i don't know everything, so if i'm wrong on any of these things please point it out. :beer

Mike from vintage fogged it/prepped it for storage and said it was one of the cleanest 1st gen 200X's he'd seen. I like the vintage look of the 1st gen 200X's and have fond memories of jumping one OUT of a dried pond as a kid (it was a friends - at the time I had a Tri-Moto 175).
Hey Bill, well, I'm trying to be more social so that my "lurker" status will be removed! The stickers I purchased from you are still in the box - man, they are sweet. I might start hoarding them... You'll see me on that A&E show "Hoarders - Buried Alive in ATC Parts"... Thanks again Bill.

i agree, sick first gen!! very , very nice stuff there man!! not a 200x guy, are they both the same yr, or is one 83, one 84?? nevr paid much attention to details on the 200x! your 2 are georgous though!!

Nah, yours is really nice! Looks like the engine hasn't been repainted and has almost no wear. A little simple green to clean it up and some 1000 grit on polished fins and yours will be a 10. Nice wheeler!

Not mine but i had the extreme pleasure of seeing all these machines in person when i went to get my manual clutch bottom end for my 110 build. Yes I know 2 pics dont have trikes in them, and 1 is a very special trike hiding under a shelf... but thought yall may like seeing them as much as i did. The 70 he had shipped to him. The only time it had a wrench/ratchet/screwdriver to it was when it was assembled. The harley is a barn find survivor, the 480 is one of Broc Glover's bike he had shipped to him, and the 125R hiding under the shelf is his personal race bike from back in the day. The guy claims to have been the first person in the south to own a 250R and he says he was in 3wheeling magazine in an article where Broc Glover (I think,, one of the 3B fella's) came down here and raced against him on a "pre-production" Tri-Z that was actually a converted YZ,, not sure. It'd be cool if his story is actaully legit though!!

I thought I put my 110 up here, but I guess I didn't. Drove three hours each way to get this.
1984 110 in excellent condition. You remove the rear plastics and the paint on the machine is
like new. Had no boot wear when we got it....I think it does now as the kid has been using
this instead of his BMX bike for neighborhood travel.

That's a nice wheeler. You must live in a town with cool police officers. We always rode our dirt bikes as our main transportation but had to ditch the cops often.

My "barn find". Older gent in my town had two, one for him and one for his wife. He sold his and kept hers when she passed away. Parked it in his garage and didn't touch it for years, then he decided to sell it. His wife only putted around their cottage with it and he figures it had less than 400 km total on it. I believe it, this thing was MINT! :) All it needed was a good wash, a new battery and the carb cleaned!!!

I agree - great thread - let's keep this one going. Lots of nice trikes already posted.

Here are some pics of 2 Honda ATCs' that I picked up last year.

The '84 200es was an one owner (eighty year old gentleman) who bought the trike new to use on his farm. Used but not abused. Was missing a few little things cosmetically which have been replaced. I installed rear fenders off of a '85 200M - originals were cracked. Runs and starts like a dream.

The '85 R was purchased from the original owner who bought it new when he was in his early twenties. He told me he had big dreams of taking it to Glamis but that never happened. All original - all there - including Honda dealership bill of sale, tools, owner's manual, tires, plastic. Original right down to the OEM air filter. Never abused or rolled. Only thing added by me was the whip/flag.

I have a line on a clean '85 300X and a '86 250R that I am going to look at in the spring - hopefully I can add them to the stable. 5 hour trip one way. Love road trips.

Here is my 85 250R. I bought it from the original owner who also happens to be an old high school buddy. He didnt ride it very much and when he did, he always washed it off and parked it in the shed after. Still has the original chain and tires, he says he never had a flat tire with it. The only things not stock are the silencer and the twist throttle. He didnt ride it the past 6 years cause he hurt his back in an auto accident and decided to sell it. I've had it to the dunes half a dozen times last summer and it runs like a new bike, sure is fun to ride!

I bought this ATC250R in 2007 from the original owner. It had been in his garage for over 10 years. Plastic was cracked so I had to put on some Maier front and rear. After riding it for 2 years I did a top end only to discover that the original piston was still in it.

Aside from the plastics, twist throttle, grips, chain and sprockets this baby is bone stock and all original. We ride it every other weekend and it runs like a champ!209765

Here is my old 350x that I had and unfortunately sold :( It was pretty much all original and un-molested except for a few small things like the grips:

My real pride and joy is my 1986 Fourtrax 350 that is pretty much all original and came with all the original paperwork and service manual in a binder that was super organized:

Drive tires mounted downtread like that are better for climbing. My kawi and my 85 Honda have the same thing. a forward tread is meant for displacing,

Here is an original 1985 ATC70. Nothing touched that I'm aware of. My dad sold it last winter for $675. It still had the very bottom of the nubs from when the tires were made. Front fender would slightly touch the exhaust while riding so forks must be bent.

Pics are from TF2014.

Nice :). Exhaust rubbing is a bent frame. Under the tank. Extremely popular on 70's.

Ahh yea, that was what someone at TF told me. Almost wish my dad didn't sell it, it was a blast to ride, and so easy to wheelie. It could pull me (~150lb) in 4th gear in loose sand.

Posting my newest addition to my survivor family. Only thing not original is the air in the tires and the gas in the tank

It looks like the tank is cut out for the head, intake and carb.

The engine was too big for a gas tank up top..underneath the fake gas tank is all the wiring. There is a vacuum driven fuel pump on the actual tank.

There is a crap load of work that has gone into that thing, which I appreciate BTW.

I just can't but think how cool a 500X would be, it's just a 250r swngarm away.
