Most people on the site know that Harry Klemm owns and runs GroupK which is a great place for watercraft engine repair and performance.
The good news is that Harry Klemm is opening a sister store working on 2 stroke atv's and vintage motorcycles. This is huge for the 3 wheeling community as Harry Klemm and Klemm Research were one of the premier 3 wheeler tuners in the 80's. Harry's motor work is legendary. Here is his site. He said it is still under construction but the site also has a lot of tech tips for 2 stroke motors.

Harry has also said he is going to make some time to join the site and talk about the old days. I can't tell you how excited I am for this to happen. :Bounce

Wow, I wonder how extensive he wishes to get into the old stuff. Motorworks sure, but I wonder if he'll do pipes and speciality parts. Anythings cool, nice to see the vintage bug has cought his attention...hope the buzz fo Tri-Z and Tecate stuff gets him too!

I have spoken to the man on may occasions through the years. He never entirely quit doing work on old atv engines and cylinders. But as they fell out of popularity, the demand simply was not there. Pwc engines "mainly 2 stroke" were something that had a much broader audience. Well, as we all know times are once again changing, as the overwealming majority of pwc's come with 4t power. The true engine tuners feel strongly about the 2t's strengths, and the diehard 2t riders know this. Us 2t riders, and the tuners who support our passion are becoming in my opinion a niche group. One could go so far as to say "exotic", as the complex, high revving, and ultimately fragile nature of the ultra high performance cam and valve design continues to spread.

This will be the ticket. The new Tecate owner lack's a bigbore kit, they just ain't available no one has produced then in quite a while. And now one more shop for the 250R's. But the R's have many big bore kits available, zero for Tecate's. Something like this refined for the Kawasaki would be such a blast to play on.

How awesome is that? It will be nice to hear how it was to run against the Honda juggernaut.
