Alright, I've been lurking around here a little bit.
Here is my X, I don't have a pic of it as it was when I got it home. It was pretty much completely disassembled, but all parts were there.
I'm pretty lucky because the front and rear fenders are original, I even have the mudflap! I blasted and painted the frame, replaced the rear brake assembly from reservoir to caliper, replaced the triple tree with one I got for $10 off ebay and did a lot of clean-up before reassembly. I will probably have to go to a Clarke tank because the metal tank is not going to cut it. It is leaking thru at the lower seams, you can see the yellowed paint in the pics if you look close. I tried lining the tank but I think that the seams are just to far gone on the interior. I'm still working on fine tuning the carb, but it runs great.
I still need to re-cover the seat and throw on some new meats. The tires are the originals, LOL. I wish that I would have repainted the motor, but not knowing how it was really going to run, I didn't want to waste that effort. Besides, it's not that bad for a rider.
