My first guess was an oil pump block off plate thingy for a 2 stroke. That is my FIRST guess. I do not have a second guess at the moment.

I'll go out on a limb and say the start of one of two plates for building a swinger from scratch? In my defense I have no idea how big the squares on your carpet/tablecloth are...

I was thinking it either had something to do with the thumb throttle housing or a homemade countershaft sprocket cover.. That's all I got..

You got it!! Only because I showed you the bottom
Thats what happens when some asshat sells you a crate motor and NOS shock and just tosses it all in one crate. I couldn't bear to see the carb not used for breaking it in so I made a plate in 4 hours
I just couldn't trust epoxy, figured I'd get stranded

Why did they have to just chop off the throttle cable; They must been in a hurry to destroy what we all love :wondering

That's a good idea, I have a few carbs that have the throttle cable either stripped or broken.

thats nice. u could market those things. might be a small amount of people needing one. makes an entire good carb useable again.
