But is a stock 400ex header that much better? Not trying to be a wiseguy, just asking.

I've heard guys say they are the exact same inside diameter. Seems to flow a bit better but I'd rather have a larger ID header......

The DG header seems to be noticeably larger than the stocker FWIW.

Just because it has a larger diamater dosent meen it flows better. The ex headder flows extremely well, the benifit is that you now can use 400ex, or trx450 canasters.

It might be a stupid question but: Is that a liquid cooling system I see there? Never saw one on 350x before unless its hiding somewhere under the tank... How would it work with the stock head?

It's the oil cooler on the front right of the trike, all 350X's have them........

Well, the ID on both ends of the header are EXACTLY the same. the OD of the single header pipe and where it converges is close to the same OD, but that doesn't really matter because of thickness of material, but just reference material. The only thing that really is different is where the single header pipe converges and it's about four inches further back then the stock 350x.
Not sure how that will affect performance, but I guess I'll find out!

I Haven't cut it yet, it's gonna be this weekend. But It's gonna be different for a different exhaust. I'm going to use a supertrapp and not use the mid pipe because it looks like the stock 400ex will reach by itself, but i will take pics and show everyone.
