What's the worst you've ever been stuck, and how did you get out?
Let the horror stories begin! :naughty:

Unfortunately this isn't a trike story, but it's still a great "I'm stuck" story... Sorry Bit (http://www.3wheelerworld.com/member.php?15721-Bit), couldn't resist :)
(Bit joins our trike gatherings on two wheels and is _usually_ a good tour guide... unless of course he gets stuck like this!)

I'm sure it's not good to reply to your own thread but I got my buddy's truck stuck in his yard. We had just pulled some fence posts and I was going back to get them and the front tire fell into a 2 foot hole, about halfway into it. Bald tires didn't help much either! Took about an hour to get back on track, just manpower and the pedal to the metal!
Lesson learned: Bald tires+wet yard+big, unassuming holes=MAJORLY STUCK!

Here are a couple of my pics. One of them is when I decided to cross what seemed to be a good spot and about 15ft in I broke through the ice. It does not look that stuck, but the only thing that kept it from pretty much going under was the ice and frozen mud.
The other is from my buddy and I playing around on a construction site. I drove the Big Red off into a a 8 foot trench. Again, the only thing that kept it from going all the way down was the 4 ft of snow above the trench. We could have tunneled under the trike. There is a pic of my buddy in the hole where the front tire was. He was not touching the ground. I had to drive home, get my F250 and pull it out.

I've been stuck so many times, lol. But one time my friend flipped off my trike when skimming across a mud pit, both him and the trike got stuck, I had to winch both of them out.

I was taking my dads honda fourtrax through a trail I ride all the time that I come to a creek crossing at. Well it had been raining A LOT and I greatly underestimated the depth. I started going down hill to the creek and my front rack dissapeared then my handle bars, then the rest of the bike. I ended up in the water up to my neck luckly it was a rock bottom and the fourtrax floated. I pushed it down stream and onto the sand bar where the trail started and pulled it home with my big red. I pulled drained all the water and changed the oil and she fired right up.
I had a similar insident with my big red but not as bad.

My worst day was not to long ago..about 2 months ago i was going to ride my trike over to a friends house so we can go ride in the mud.He lived about 5 or 6 miles away and it had been raining all night,so there were lots of puddles and small rivers everywhere..i came to a part in the trail where i had to cross a street and on the opposite side of the street there was what to look like a small lil river (about 4 feet wide). So i thought i could just slap a wheelie over that shyt and keep on..Well,that wasnt the case..the rushing water had carved out a deep trench in the dirt that i could'nt see,so when i popped that wheelie and went for it, my bike was under water up to the tank and i got thrown over the bars :( ..Got the bike out as fast as i could, and it started raining so hard,i was in the middle of nowhere about 2 miles from my house,i was all by my self, and had no cell phone...i didnt even try to start her because i knew that alot of water went into the pipe..i sat for about an 2 hours then tryed to kick her over and it was a no go...so i sat for about another hour or so in the poring rain hoping someone would drive by on that street but no one did.....so knowing the only way home was for a long walk..and i had to push the bike back across the lil river to start mission home...there's no way in hell i would have left my bike behind, so i gots to pushing...made it home in a few hours it felt like.........now for my adventure i never had my phone so i didnt know what time i really sat when i was waiting..but i do know when i started the ride that day it was around 9:30 am and i didnt get home untill 6pm...so it was like an all day advent for me.....lesson learned?..dont ride by your self, and always have a phone..(it's a no brainer) haha

I was abouyt 15 miles away from the truck, on a trail... Rounded the corner and lost the rear wheel on my BR! Stupid me, didnt pack any tools... Thankfully, the pos sparkplug socket, (under the seat) fit on the lug nuts (stupid wheel spacers) and had a ratchet strap along, and the hook was stout enough to turn said crappy plug wrench, I robbed a lug nut off the other 2 wheels, and limped it out of the woods... Glad my buddy was with me! It sucked!!

I know its not a trike and I really didnt get suck but it still was bad. I was riding about this time two years ago, an there was still some snow and ice on the snowmobile trails. The trail went between two small ponds and there was just enought to get an atv throught. Needle to say my rear tires sliped and me and the bike went into one of the ponds. Was not to fun

the first pic is me grabbing the winch cable from my brother-in-law with the 600 honda
4x4. i then proceeded to hook said cable to the hitch on my little 250sx, and promptly yanked said 4x4 out. do you think my loving wife got a picture of that? NO!
she did, however, have her lousy camera ready to get the second pic, which is me getting winched out of a trike swallowing hole.
however, the trike still kept going all day, while the polaris that winched me out broke an axle shaft later that day.

Baaahahah what stories!!! Ive posted one a couple times on here. One frosty day i was riding my 200s threw a field, saw an ice patch on the field so i went and played around on it. I broke threw the ice into about 4 feet of water, yeh 4 feet isnt deep but then again im on a 200s LOL. As i was swamping the bike, a couple town workers were passing by in there truck on the nearby road. Thay got out of there truck in there Hipwayders and pulled me out :D After that i put a better silicone seal around my pull starter because i dam near shorted out the stater coil along with the lighting coil and the fly wheel rusted right over.
I put on a new gasket and a better wireing harness and tryed it out again at a nearby dam. Theres a gate blocking the entrance to it so i said i'll go around i got a small bike. Bad idea there was a small pond from melting snow beside the fence. I stuck close to the fence and about half way in i felt my knees getting wet lol and i had my knees on the seat ! Water right over the seat ! Bike never shut off and i had it stuck between the fence and a tree pinned for about 15mins. I got off it by standing on the handle bars LOL and pulled it out, AND SHE NEVER SHUT OFF THE WHOLE TIME !
When i got it out i check the oil for water and it was good to go. Checked the air filter..it was soaked, about 1 quart of water poored out of it HAHAHA. CANT KILL A HONDA!

ha well none on a trike just yet but i did one on my old 660 raptor, down the road from my cousins where the river came a lot closer to the road there was abig 100ft patch of grass along with a 10foot high bank in case the river overflows well i hit that hill at 60mph! there was a bend there where 2 very wide country roads met and lots of trees growing out the bottom of the big ditch that was one the other side. well i jumped both roads, aprox. 70ft then landed in the top of a tree and smashed thru all the branches til i hit water! his banshee wasnt gonna pull me out so we got lifting and pulling and even with reverse and my super bald tires it wouldnt go. after my cousin dead lifts the bike then lifts the front end up over his head and says jump on it and throw her in reverse! i did and he held it!! but it didnt work, he just ate about 4 lbs of mud! we eventualy heaved it out then he puked and i went ridding to town to get me a sub :D

worst I've ever been stuck was with my 200m out in a gravel pit. On one side there was a spot of water, looked like a solid bottom, nope. All wet realy soft sand. Bike dropped when I hit it. I don't like wet boots, so I decided to take them off and go barefoot, it's all sand, like the beach, what could go wrong. Starting pushing while giving the bike gas, it started moving... but I then spun over 3 of my toes... scratched them up a bit, didn't feel to nice, but I got the bike out.

worst i have been stuck was on our polaris sportsman 700. Mud half way up the machine. All cause i wanted to help some people get unstuck then I got stuck. If it wasnt for the winch i never would have made it out and some smart brains (no trees in a certain spot) and drove a tree branch into the ground and wrapped the winch around that. I never have been stuck badly on any of my 2 trikes. Once I thought i would have never made it out of a mud pit so I hopped off, and the tri moto just floated along and i stood beside it and gave it some throttle and she got out no problem. I love trikes

Neighbor was riding along the river, hit a stump and somehow
dropped the back DOWN the riverbank about 20 feet almost vertical.
We were starring out that way and looked at each other wondering
why there was a light shining up into the trees.
Well, then we saw the neighbor walking back, and he never walks.
so we got 100 feet of rope, laced it around a tree and pulled him up
and out.
Ruined the rope but nobody got hurt.

A freind and I decided to take our 250es big reds out to play in the flood waters and mine drowned out in too deep of water so he was pulling me acrossed a very muddy field when my front tire was so balded up with mud it couldnt turn any more.
It was about 100 degrees that day and we both almost died of heat exhaustion by the end of the day tring to get the big red unstuck. We had 24ft of tow rope and he would get as far behind me as he could and pass me and come to the end of the rope and my big red woudnt even move! We decided to leave it in the field over night and I came back the next day to get it with my 500 foreman and it still was a challenge getting it out with the help of 3 more guys. Never had to leave a machine overnight before and I hope I never have to again.

The worst I ever got stuck was with my KLT 185 in a swampy area on the back 40.
The back drop: imagine a 1/4 acre spot of land that is soggier than a babies diaper,(fed by under ground spring) Cat tails growing in near the water source with a good size stream till it spills onto the surrounding land were it creates over 12" of soggy goo that is neither mud nor dirt.....Lets call it "Mirt"
So I'm tooling around the edges of the Mirt pit spinning my tires and having a good ol'time when I get the cocky idea that I'm gonna test my new Klt's mudding abilities(i had just got the klt...I go threw this pit with my home built trike all the time, floats on top)....Yea, that was short lived, I get about 6' in and try to turn my wheel and I just keep on plowing strait, then with added drag of the cocked wheel I just stop dead. So I start rocking it back and forth, but that didn't help much so I start dong crazy stuff like standing on the grab bar and trying to wheelie my way out, or better yet hanging off the side and lifting a wheel up to the other one could get better traction...NOT! At this point I'm more stuck than a fly on tar paper and quickly running out of options, as it's getting dark and front is rolling in. I'm on my own here with no tools and no one to help me. So I finally decide that in order to get it out quickly I'm gonna have to break the enormous amount of suction holding down( 22x11x8's buried past the axle:naughty:) I have to flip the trike on it's back and like a wounded turtle then toss it right side up so I can go home.....In the end I just made before the rain started but it took me forever to break the suction and since I didn't have any leverage on it I was plum worn out by the time I got home:lol:

This is a bit of stuck and broke down lol...1986 Big Red 250, I was about 3 miles back in the woods with a friend. He was on his lifted Trx300 4x4. So I get to this big mud hole and somewhat get stuck. So i start to reverse out of the mud hole and as soon as i got almost out the swing arm broke in half. 2 weeks after she was sitting 3 miles in the woods we went back with 2 ratchet straps and gooned up the swinger so it could be towed out. This was for sure the worst ever experience with towing and my trike being way back in the woods. The ratchet straps held up like trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro. Had to re-strap it like 5 times and it took us 4 hours to get her out!!!! A big trailer would have helped but we didnt have one lol. Needless to say shes back together and looking good lol.

does this count? lol The trike kept running until a polaris drove into the hole to "come rescue" me and swamped my bike with the wave he ended up causing when he hit the water. Upon extraction my pull cord decided it wanted the day off and promptly broke... Had to bump start it the rest of the day, but it was a great day :) Oh and that was my 82 185s which donated its engine for my 200x as the s's frame was rusted out too bad.

me and a friend took my old 200s's out to the local spot about 2 years ago on spring break. we were riding out in the back woods as far as we could go.. and he got the 200s he was on stuck. so i said no big deal i got the strap and hooked up to him and couldnt move him at all. ive never seen mud have so much suction. the left rear tire was in about 3 inches of mud and the right rear about 6 inches...i back so far up and jerked it so hard the last time the 3wheeler flew up and threw me off...so i went up front for help and found a big polaris 4x4 with winch and he came back and laughed because we could get it out...needless to say he had a wtf look on his face after it took him 10 to 15 tugs before it finally came out and that was my worst stuck ever...took about 2 hours total of are riding day
