Another trike has been saved from the crusher today. Fabio turned me onto this and once I saw it, I decided I would try to save it myself.

It is going to need some serious work but it does have potential thats for sure.

Heres some pics:

If you look closely you will see that it is the factory forks cut off with a piece of angle iron welded on the bottom and a flat stock at the top and the forks are just bolted to that. It is kind of sketchy actually.

other than the forks mike i say its a great score, get some forks and a seat. Does it run?

It does not run yet. The pull starter is not working correctly. Also I pulled the pull start off again today and looked a little closer and the end of the crankshaft is completely beaten to death (Mushroom'd, peened over, split, etc) and the flywheel nut is missing. The engine will need a complete rebuild I guess.

I am going to get a set of stock forks, seat, and correct tank for now. The chain enclosure needs to be pulled off and beaten straight and reassembled, plus it will need plastics too.

It will need work, but I am going to redo it because it is a 3/80 machine, the month and year I was born.

Holy hell man. I didn't think that thing was that far gone. I guess I was right about the forks being "aftermarket"!

That thing is gonna take some serious work man, but anything is possible.
