Hey

i just got this 1984 Honda 200X the other day. its bored .40 over and has a full DG exhaust on it. can anyone tell me any problems or issues they have had with these machines? im new to 200X's and new to manual clutches and chain driven machines. so any help would be appreciated.

you pick that up from Gary in Palmyra? I just bought an '86 200x from him around a month ago. Its a really nice trike, No issues with it. Someone else here bought one from him as well. my '86 is a totally different design but i can tell you Their pretty reliable machines. Pretty much all ATCs are. Just keep your maintenance up, and follow the break in procedure for that .040 over if it isn't done already.

Chains need to be kept in good condition and proper tension to avoid problems. Download the manual and familiarize yourself with how to check correct chain tension and condition. I have checked the valve lash on my 84 200x and readjusted it. It's pretty easy to do. Watch the oil level and change it regularly. Feed it clean gas and it should give you years of enjoyment.
