Honda Big Red Fuel Cap question

I can't find my owner's manual for the 1983 Big Red, 200.

The fuel cap: The on and off switch;

What does the Honda manual say about that switch? How is it vented, when on On or OFF?

typically they are vented in the "on" position, as in fuel flow "on". couldn't tell you what the manual says, though.

Yes they vent when turned "on". I have an 85 atc70 that wont run right unless the gas cap is turned on, it will bog down have no power and wont idle if it is turned off.
