I'm looking at adding a voltage regulator to my YT175. The headlight at night just doesn't cut it out there at the dunes. Now i've made some LED lights that dominate the stock headlight. Only problem I've came across, the LED requires 12 volts. With drivers and everything, the LED draws only 14 watts a piece. So I'm going have use 2 of them, 1 for a high beam and 1 for a low beam. I will also use a 12volt tail light.

Now the YT uses AC current regulated by the head lights.. YEAAAHH.....

I've found this 1 for $19. I believe the lighting coils on the blaster are also 2 wire.

I've used those on multiple trikes with good results. I don't know much about LEDs or YTs but...

I had an 84 ATC 110. I used a parts store LED marker light for a tail light. It worked great but since the power draw was less than the original bulb, when I revved the engine, I burnt out both the LED and the headlight. I installed on of these regulators and replaced the bulbs and never had a problem again.

I also use this regulator on my 84 200x with a similar LED tail light and Hella 500 headlight on the stock lighting coil. No issues at all.

I assume the YT uses a similar lighting system. If so - this should work great.

Awesome, glad to hear some positive reviews first hand. I do alot of work with LEDs and what not. I've got a single led set up that will outshine most 35watt bulbs. Outshine some 55s also :)
