Hey everyone, I'm hoping someone out there can help a newbie in need.

Choke - I rebuilt the carb, and now I am having a hell of a time trying to figure out how the spring on the choke is supposed to go on. I have the manual and it looks as if the "J" on the end of the spring wraps around the body where you screw it in, is this right? I just tried messing around with it after work today and I still couldn't get it. If anyone out there could give me some step by step instructions or even some DECENT pictures that would be great.

Right Rear Tire - The rear tire wobbles and has no power going to it. I am assuming the splines on either the axle or the hub are completely stripped. Is there anything else that would make it do this? How many of you have welded on your hub to your axle or bolted it through? I would rather not replace the axle if it's the axle that is stripped.

Thanks for your help in advance, I appreciate it.

as someone who bought a bike with welded on hubs i say DO NOT WELD THEM ON IT CAUSES FUTURE PROBLEMS. Like changing sprockets, and misc brake items.

In my experience its always the hub that strips not usually the axle. I have seen aftermarket hubs for as cheap as 60 dollars which is alot cheaper than oem. I wouldn't even consider welding them on one of my bikes for the same reasons that acidburn stated. As for the choke cable you need to hook that in before you tighten the screw that fastens it to the carb. If you download the manual page 47 has a pretty good picture. Hope that maybe helps you out.

Yes, the splines are completely stripped. You will probably need an axle and a hub. However, when I got my 250sx, one of the hubs was smooth on the inside but the splines on the axle were actually pretty good, so maybe the axle will be salvageable. You'll have to take it apart to look. Don't weld your hub to the axle though. Bad idea that.
