dual pipes

i finally got a 86 350x for 600$ i dont have a camera but when i get one ill post pics.
i was wondering because it has two exhaust ports if i could make up some dual pipes like on the 06-08 crf250r? has any one done this before. if any one has done it did it help any in the power curve. i imagine i would sound pretty good

I don't think you'd gain anything. It's only a single cylinder, even though it has two ports. If you could make it fit, it would look cool, but you'll have airbox hoses in the way.
