View Full Version : 200x cdi question
so the last thing i need 2 fire up my atc is a cdi box, according to my clymer manual the 200x uses 2 square connectors to the cdi box, my 84 200x has a round connector that has 6 pins and looks like the connector that is listed for the 200s,200es,200m. i looked on flea bay and found some 200x cdi but they have a square connector. what type of cdi should i get?

my 83 200x has a round connector, what does your wiring harness have?
do the other 200 atcs have the same rev limit on the cdi? i dont want to end up with a cdi box that doesnt let me rev out my engine, i need all the rpms i can safely use for duning.

thats a darn good question, I dont know if there is a rev limiting function inside the cdi box, maybe there is? and then if there is, arel all round connector cdi boxes created equal? hmmmm

I have a few of the round plug 200x CDI boxes if you cant find one . PM me if you want .
pm sent to shortline
im also wondering if all cdi are the same? on my uncles 400ex, he swapped out his atv cdi for the dirtbike one and it bumped up the rev limit and it gives it a more aggressive timing so i wonder if the same is true for our atc?
