I remember some members here from Joplin (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110523/ap_on_re_us/us_midwest_storms). And as I keep reporting in some posts, flooding is going to get worse down south-http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_flooding_montana . The Sun, Teton, Missouri, and reservoirs aren't even too bad with full snow pack and 3 days of rain, but nights have stopped dropping below freezing and the rains are now frequent. I've been watching all the places we ride and the rivers this week and weekend, here, are gonna flood soon. It'll be worse in Southern U.S.. Keep alert southern trike friends.

Yeah this weather has been horrible this year with the floods and tornados. We are still dealing with flooding and probably will for awhile now. My prayers go out to those in Joplin, as well as alabama. I took water and supplies to alabama a few weekends ago and have never seen such distruction.

The worst part is that St. Johns hospital got hit directly by the tornado. Here is a pic of their Lifeflight helicopter. People 70 miles away from Joplin found x-rays in their front yards from St. Johns Hospital.. We are about an hour away from Joplin. Still trying to connect with family and friends there.

It is awful there. Good chance if they are a member they do not have internet connection as it demolished houses and evertything in it's path. Keep the city in your prayers.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Joplin. I have seen the destruction first hand here in Alabama and I can tell you it's absolutely unbelievable. Tuscaloosa looks like a war zone. My neighbor's sister and her family were killed, 5 people in one house. Only one of the small twins survived. Every one in the state was affected somehow. I too picked up stuff in my yard from towns 70-100 miles away. That "stuff" consisted of school pictures, wedding pictures, etc. Other peoples memories and keepsakes, strawn all over the state. Sad.
It seems the damage is just as bad in Joplin and the death toll is rising. Again, my thoughts and prayers go out.

When we all used to say The South Will Rise Again, we didn't mean into the air. It's not been a good year to be from the South.
Yes it has been hell on earth lately, and I feel for these people that have lost everything they own/know.
These recent weather/natural events are almost biblical in proportion, and now there is buzz floating around of a New Madrid Fault incident possible.
This has been one of the worst years I can remember in my life. These catastrophe's are not just affecting the areas they hit, but everyone is starting to feel the reprocussions.
The north east was hit with 3 major snow storms in a row,
The Japan earthquake,
We have been inidated with rain, here and an unuasually cold spring, to the point that the woodburner was going in May,localized flooding has been a issue here as well as some twisters.
The Twisters in Alabama,
The Missouri Twisters this week,
The extreme flooding in the south,
Now that volcano is acting up again in Iceland..
We have had so much rain here that the farmers have not been able to plant the crops. I have a feeling we will be paying 30% higher food costs by the end of the summer,
Everyone's property insurance is going to go up, I could go on and on with the trickle down effects, and I have a feeling it is not over yet. There will probably be some wicked hurricanes later this year as well.
I honestly am starting to think that our blessings have been cut off.

^^^Mosh^^^ You could not have said it better. Here in Southern Missouri Table Rock Lake is epically flooded, the Core opened the Gates and flooded Taney Como as well. Maybe someone is not happy with us right now. The news is also forecasting a Super-Cell to tear through Eastern Oklahoma and Western Missouri again this week.

I have a Pastor Mamma. If you think you're concerned Mosh, you should step into my head. My Mom, non-chalauntly, told me all of the things to 'watch' for in the next 25 years or so. I thought 'Not in my life time'. It's all happening. I know too much, and it's not fun, but I know what's comin'. Scares me a bit, wish I didn't know.

My Mom,the exact same thing, she wasn't a devout church goer,,but the best person ever. Period. Her Mom was HEAVY into the church. I thought she was OUT OF HER MIND,,for 18+ years,,,everything she has told me has come true....The one that hasn't?? That we will beg borrow and steal for,,, WATER.. EVERYWHERE around this part of the State, and NY,the gas drillers are using TENS of millions of gallons a DAY.....It is scary to watch what I truly believed to be INSANITY!!!! Ring true,,one after the next, after the next,,after the next.... That picture of St Joes destroys me,,I spent today at the hospital,,as with most weeks,I am to a few,,to see Lifeflight in that condition, and the damage to that facility is wordless. All I can really do is pray for them. We had 4 tornados here last night,Central PA,all F1's or 0's. Just tree and building damage.

Isn't global warming fun? I went to a graduation with Bill Nye as the guest speaker. He had a great speech for the college graduates. It covered what the next generation will have to face. He talked about the changes in the weather and the correlations to global warming. He also talked about how we are not short on oil, there is still plenty for a few hundred more years. But if we burn it all, there will be even more severe consequences than just running out.
These storms are our own creation. Mother earth will not be kind to the infestation of humans on this planet. The population is skyrocketing and shows no sign of stopping. It will be interesting to see if people will take the hint.

I've always said "If we were created by anyone, he's disgusted with what we've become". I don't mean "us" or "me" in particular, just the whole human race. The hate, the greed, the lies, the so called "leaders" and so on.
I hope all you guys and your families are OK. I can't imagine losing my possessions I worked so hard to keep but if you come out with your life, your doing very well.........

Well it looks like another major storm coming thru the middle US. According to the site, west TN looks to be bad......we have a ranking of 9 for possible tornado hitting.....and out of 10 too. I hope and pray it misses us and storm passes with no harm done....

The closest family we had was about a block from where it all started. Everyone is okay that we know in Joplin.
