Yeah its best to change it.

look it over if its ripped, falling apart,all junked up bad. replace it.other then that clean it up and drive on. air filters are not cheap. and do not need replacing very often.

I do it every other oil change but I only put maybe 6-10 hours on each motor before I change the oil; Depends how hard I've been riding it.
