I'm looking for some tips or Ideas to help me get started. I took everything that was electronically related to the 300ex off as well as the motor. I Don't want to spend $700 on the kit that Powroll sells. So I'm thinking i can modify existing parts to make it work.
Thanks ahead of time guys

If I'm not mistaken, Swigin would be the man to talk to.

So now that this project is underway, I've realized that these motors weren't designed to fit in there without finessing the motor into it, and speaking nicely towards it. The motor is a TIGHT fit but does fit. Needs a 2 or 3 spacers to get it rolling. I'm gonna take pics and show you guys what to expect if you do this swap yourself.
But for anyone that has done it.... how did you route your decomp cable?

I've never seen a decomp on a 250x 350x hybrid but I bet it can be done using 250x decomp parts.
edit.....Makeing the rear upper motor mount removable like in my thread helps as far as installing/removeing the motor.

I have 3 spare 350x motors and Only 1 1/2 350x frames ... I picked up a 300ex for $400 (with a blown motor) so i figured i could mount one up for my wife to ride, since she's not the biggest fan of 3 wheels.

we had a x with a 350 in it, it was pretty fun to ride, but a trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro to start without the decomp cable

The 350x motor is a decent increase in power over the 300ex correct? The downside is you lose reverse and electric start creature comforts

you can put electric start on a 350 moter ,the it will be easy for the wife to start it .
