Scored this US90 this afternoon! How do you think I did?? 3 Ohtsu tires, 2 hold air, and the third will with a little slime in it! May have to trade it off on a atc70 for my kiddos!

Nice! With a new front fender, a seat cover, a little paint and some elbow grease that thing is going to be sweet! I'm sure you'll have it running like a champ in no time.

Vin decodes as a 1970, or 1971... Anyone know how to tell the difference?

Well, around here, that is a 1200 Dollar bike. Id say, you paid around..... 250 ( since the title says score, haha :) )

Is that 1200 Canadian, or American?? (We may have to sell this thing in a joint effort, and split the profits!)

The 70 and 71 are identical. Its kind of a grey area on what year bike you could have. It really depends on when it was sold. I can't find the site that had the numbers cut off that was sure to be made in 71', most are in the middle grey area that could be either.

That is in Canada. That is probably a $500 bike in these times. If it had perfect condition tires it would be worth roughly $1200 as a set just went for that on ebay last week.
They were going for a bit more 3 years ago, the tough times have caused the value to drop a bit, plus more and more have been found and saved due to more people knowing how rare those tires are.

Haha, yeah... Canadian. Which is actually worth more now than american! Take that americans haha. That would get that much easily around my area... Canadian prices are rediculous. Was up to a 1.38 for a litre of gas!

Shoot... I may just box it up and send it that way! Got it running this afternoon!

It ran yesterday, than quit running, and sparking for me... After a couple hours of dinkin' with it, and a few calls to "mullet" here on the forum, got it rehatched out and running again... *dirty grounds.... *grumble*grumble* Runs amazingly well for a 41 y/o machine!

I would really like to turn it into a atc70 for my two boys, I think....

I saw Chris Angel turn a 90 into an 70 one time..
Glad you got it running again! I'm sure if you decide you don't want to keep it, someone here would be thrilled to own a first year US90.

Put it on Ebay, if it's all original, good shape and one of the first years made, be ready to see a lot of money i think.
Thorpe
06-03-2011, 08:57 PM
Shape isnt too great...It is all original. I have an offer to trade it off for a pretty solid 1983 atc70... I think I may go that route, being I have been wanting one for awhile for my "kids" *cough cough* At least thats what I tell my wife "for the kids"...

if you get one 70 you'll end up with another and another and another... thats just the way the 70 fever goes, lol!!

That's just plain awesome Thorpe. I think you should keep it AND buy a 70, lol. It might turn out to be one of those "I wish I had of kept it" decisions later. They don't mind sitting on shelves for another day. I'm really interested in the "indented tank" identifier. I'll have to check mine to see if it's there. Where exactly is it located?
And now for the best part....we'll let you join our US90/ATC 90 Group:D
Thorpe

The indented tank is right below the gas filler, and reads for "off the-road use only"

Well I've learned something today, thanks guys! Did you decide what you are going to do with it yet?
Thorpe
06-04-2011, 10:58 PM
Well I sent it down the road, and took the 1983 atc70. Now that its gone, I can feel open about the money I had to spend to pick up the little blue fatty. I dropped a whopping 80 bucks to get it! Here is a pic of the new wheels...

thats twistedwheeler, (ebay name) I think thats his name, he sells a bunch of stuff outa st cloud (MN). When I talked to him about a month ago, he said he had 54 3 wheelers!! I dont feel so self conscious now, (I just have 4, er 5) I have a 83 ATC70 and a blue us90, dang what a co-incidence!! My US90 has no wheels though.

Yes that is the same one... And quite honestly, I dont think its EVER gonna bring that kind of money! (not in that condition, with those tires)

I love my 83, put a set of chrome 7 inch bmx bars on it, and did the cdi ignition ($100! Ouch!) Mine has the factory wiring for the headlites. got it for free because the guy said the tranny was bad, he had a straight shifter on it and it was hitting the recoil, cant ride it for more than 15mins at a time, cuz it hurts my cheeks .... the ones on my face from smiling so GD hard!! ENJOY!!
