When I ride my 83 big red 200e it bubbles when I try to pick up speed. If I run her in 5th gear for 1/4mile it opens up and is clear BUT my plug gets carbon covered. Its a black dry coat of carbon, east to remove. If I stop the bike I have to remove plug and clean it in order to restart bike.
I was told I need to replace rings. Is there anyway I can repair those rings or do they have to be replaced no matter what the damage or dirt. Id like to save money.
I have run an entire car of engine (carbon remover) cleaner through engine. I do know I need to change oil.

wow, does it smoke blue like oil burning?
bobbling and hesitation seems like more of a fuel issue.

running open is using the 'extra' gas but at idle it loads up?

When I first start it, it wants to bog out when I give it gas in neutral. It will blow black smoke and want to back fire but never does. Then when engine is warm I cant notice any smoke out back. What I do see is white(ish).
Also when I ride, Ill give it gas and she'll go but sometimes it keeps it high rev (not holding gas), it will burn off and drop idol.
Ive attempted carb rebuild, engine cleaning, air filter cleaning, an oil change (another to come after engine cleaner). I dont really want to rip my engine apart if i dont really have to.

Attempted....??? Hmm... Sounds like dirty jets and a semi fouled spark plug to me. Thats what my BR was doing when in similar situation. Install a new plug, and try pulling your airbox lid, and see if it helps it run any better, and report back.

I second Thorpe's suggestion
