was getting tired of looking at my slightly saggy fenders and started looking around to see what i could use to fix it. i knew what i basicly needed and after a couple hours looking through my junk odds-n-ends i found 3 Alum round braces (i think they went to my brothers old soft top for his boat) then spent about an hour figuring out how i wanted it mounted. didn't want something i would have to unbolt everytime i took the plastic off and came up with this. i know it won't stand a chance really if wrecked, but it'll hold itself up when mud caked. IMO doesn't look too bad and is doing the job so far.

basicly drilled a hole on each side of the rear mounting bracket for the plastic and then mounted to the last outer mudflap bolt. they're not exactly the right length, but damn close enough for me.
edit: got a before and after pic now.

did you ever figure out why your seat wasn't sitting in the right spot after you got it back?, I found a place that sells seat pans, but he has to repair the mold, they are hand layered fiberglass so they will last an uber long time here is the link http://www.atcheaven.com/Seats.php?pageNum_Sea=1&totalRows_Sea=36 I'm just hoping if I get enough people who need or want one he will fix the mold quicker and I'll be able to get a new pan as mine has almost completely fallen apart.

yeah, my pan is bent a little. IMO, looks like whoever stole it had probibly wedged a jacket or something under it then locked it down bending my seat pan up a little.
lol, when i first got this thing i started taking things apart to give it a good cleaning, it still had the clear plastic from when it was originally sold under the seat. basicly the seat had never been seperated from the rear plastic till i got it. which to me is pretty cool.

ok, so i cleaned up/sanded the braces i made to paint them black, but now IDK. they look pretty good to me now.

any opinions on paint or not? :wondering
