On the fence about getting. Went and looked at. My first inclination was to walk away.
Motor is just sitting on frame
Top end is off Everything else seems to be there.
If I can get at low price would it be worth restoring? I just missed a complete running one for $550.00

If the motor is out it is out for a reason. nobody just takes a perfectly good running machine apart and never puts it back together. I learned a long time ago to go with my initial gut feeling. It might be worth it. but as rusty as the inside of the cylinder is it is hard to tell what is farther down inside the motor. You never know what might have crawled, fell, or got dropped down there. By the time you get it going you may have more in it that you could have got a good runner for.
But all in all it is your money and your decision.

If its cheap enough I would grab it. But, it would have to be pretty cheap in the current not running state that its in. How much is the asking price if you dont mind my asking? Dont worry, Im not going to drive down there from NY and buy it out from under you....

buy it!! I would pay that all day long. if its just the top end no big deal could be running for under 500.00 and it really dont look to be in bad shape

I would buy it too! I just restored a 85' 350X and it now means more to me then the one I bought in great shape. I learned a ton and there is something about riding one and having people ask about it, and you tell them, I restored it and if you would have seen it before I started. Besides, I am all about keeping as many 3 wheelers alive as possible! They just don't make them like they used too! LOL

It is listed for $550 - if I knew he was willing to come down to $250, it would be in my garage already. If you don't get it, I will. Post up if you plan to get it - I'll wait a couple days.

This has been a crazy week. If you noticed my 1st post, I was really in search for this 85 350x that posted on Sunday for $550.00. It turned out I missed it by 1 guy. Couldn't get the guy to hold it for me. Well Wed. The person who bought reposted on craigslist for $900.00. Long story short, I am now a new proud owner of an 1985 350x. Ended up getting for $725.00. the guy made a fast buck, But I really wanted the 350x
Rode it, fired on first strong kick, definately alot different than my 200x. Will start the cleaning and rebuilding process. It does need a front shock. Somebody bent it up real nice. If anybody has an extra let me know.
1 pic to show, more to follow.
Now I better go buy something for my Wife as I can see the look on her face for where Im going to be putting this one.
Oh and yes, call that guy from Rockhill. He really needs to sell it. He did have an 85 350x there, but he wanted way too much.
