Well the man that gave me this trike to work on said it was a 225DX. Now I'm not so sure. I ordered an intake boot online for a 225DX but it wasn't even close to what i needed (mine uses a hose clamp, this one uses two bolts?). Now i'm looking at the Clymer 200/225 manual... and though they break it down to chain driven or shaft driven, about half of my chain-driven carb's attributes actually look like the shaft driven (e.g. the choke assembly uses a nut and not a cap as picture, the floats look like shaft driven, etc).

So... how do i find out what carb i actually have? i see there are actually 6 different carbs used in the 200/225 tri motos.

ID numbers are either on the intake flange or on the left side of the carb, depending on which model you have. The numbers are very small. Check page 177 of the Clymer manual to determine what you have. Sorry for the crappy pics.

If you're not sure of what machine you have, post the VIN up.
