Question for the die hard 250r people on here

I'm 33 an always wanted a 1986 gold series trx 250r honda as they blew peps away in the race cirkits as we all know in early 4 wheeler racing. My Question is I noticed some antifreeze building up around my head and didn't think anything of it. Should of knew better.The motor was just honed and top end redone. Blasted out of a feild an she shut down What the hell i figure an try to kick her over. The kicker was stuck so i keep kicking as i'm 225lbs an don't take no for an answer. Finally unfroze the piston and now have no compression I mean you can hand crank it like nothing. I think I spent the rings as everything sounds good from the outside. Hopefully i didn't blow a hole through my piston will be taken her apart maybe today or tomarrow 7/7/11 or 7/8/11. I pray it's just a heat seize with the rings as i spent 2250$ to rebuild the whole motor so everything is freash except the stator. Any help please to get me up an running I know i Posted another post but I had to make it more clear for peps to help me out. Thank you much all of you guys are the best. I wish everyone that rode weren't d*cks!

Better find go back to the guy you paid $2250 to rebuild the motor and ask him wtf ( that is unless you were the one to put it all back together and there was no coolant in it - after it all leaked out that is)

I didn'd do the work myself which i wish i would have. the coolant had to not of been filled now that i think of it. thanks man. And if anyone else has any info they can add please do so. thank you all very much

Really tough to say what the problem could be until you just take it apart and see. Loss of compression could be anything from rings, to a hole in the piston or worst case scenario a broken piston or connecting rod.

You dont want to be leaking coolant...period. If its leaking coolant, figure out why and correct the problem.

I wish you luck with dealing with whomever you paid 2250 to rebuild the engine. Once you explain to him that you noticed a coolant leak and rode it anyway, he is likely to tell you that you should have contacted him to fix the coolant leak before riding it, and then proceed to put the blame for whatever engine damage occurred at your feet.

Get the topend off and let us know what you find

After looking at it I decided not to pull the head an wait till I can talk to the guy who redid the motor wtf. I don't want him to say "well you pulled the head off and now it's on you". You guys feel me. Any other info on the motor would be killer example,horse power 30 over,tourqe 30 over, a true 252cc thanks all !

the coolant had to not of been filled now that i think of it.

yet you say you noticed a buildup of antifreeze,, then you say you just BLASTED out in the field.. 2 MAJOR PROBLEMS HERE,,,, first of all you have no idea how much coolant was in the radiator,, and did you even break the motor in??????

Rule number one: If you don't want to blow up your new liquid cooled engine - Put coolant in PROPERLY, burp the system, make sure there is no air in it, then break it in.
Rule number two: If you put $2250 into an engine, you better know what you are doing

Yep, you pretty much doomed yourself from what you're saying. Not running in properly, leaking anti-freeze, and paying wayy too much for a rebuild (unless it was a full rebuild).

I'd pull it apart, and learn how to rebuild your engine, and then learn how to properly run it in. Check you head for straightness too ;)
