I just reinstalled the flywheel on my 250sx. The flywheel nut has been torque in accordance with the specs. The starter gear has some play between the case and flywheel. The gear slides in and out of the one-way clutch about a 1/4". The other starter gears seem to lineup alright. I can’t remember off the top of my head if it was this way when I disassembled the engine. I don't want to damage the magneto when I start it up.
Is this normal or is the flywheel not completely on?
