Crap fuel and a waste of time and money. Ethanol from corn is about most illogical choice in the world. At least I will know now what not to put in my car. I have a feeling that Arco has been selling this stuff for years, I've always noticed that when I buy their cheap fuel I definitely get less MPG.

This alternative fuel just seems to be a bigger pain in the trailprotrailprotrailpro than it is worth right now. I would like to know what percentage of vehicles on the road are compatible with this fuel and what the difference in pollution is.

Its not a pollution issue really. Most newer cars will run on it weather there rated for this stuff or not. I have run E83 here in Oregon in my 05 Hyundai Elantra and it ran ok. The problem is you get about 20% less fuel mileage. Its also not economical to make from corn as it requires almost 1 gallon of fossil fuel to make 2 gallons of ethanol out of corn.
Down in South America its much more economical to make because they use sugar cane which yeilds 7 times the amount of ethonol than corn does for the same amount of fossil fuel.
The EPA is trying to cram this stuff down our throat because its a cash cow. The fuel companies don't mind because as the vehicle manufacturs continue to improve fuel economy in their vehicles.....the fuel companies continue to make worse and worse fuel, using less and less oil in the production of it. So therefore we continue to have cars that only get 30mpg or so. Gotta love this place.
