Put a number plate on there and call it good? Do you do much night time riding? http://www.maier-mfg.com/catalog/universal-front-plate $15.00 and you even get to pick the color...

HID??? I started working on it today and got some where with it. I found out that the holes for the bolt on the upper tree were all busted up and the cage around the old light was not fixable. I made some 3'' lights work by tapping what was left of the upper trees out and bolted them up. I just have to find somthing to file up the rest of the trees and some 35w light bulb.

Go on ebay. search polisport, acerbis and UFO along with the word headlight. There are some cool options out there. I'd send you a photo of mine if I could figure out how to

I wanted to try those HID's but I never looked up how much power they draw

About the same as a conventional halogen bulb. However, you need to convert your trike to DC power AND run a 12 volt battery in order to use HID's- runs on the required DC current, and the battery keeps the voltage at a constant voltage to keep the HID's lit. They will not light on AC power, other than continuously flicker. Also I think you might need to run a higher output stator to re-charge the battery properly.
I've been looking into it for my Tecate, and have gotten as far as getting the system from AC to DC, no battery yet. Gotta say the HID is BRIGHT AS HELL!! Lights up about 150ft in front of me which really helps when running wide open:

If you want full details, PM me, I've got a pretty good understanding of how it all works, and the parts needed.
As for the 250R, I like the look of those twin lights ontop of the triple. Throw on a number plate and call it a day.

I got them at Princess Auto on sale for like $4 a year or so ago. They come with 55w bulds but I had to changed them out for 35w so I can run both.
