I recently acquired a 1983 Honda 200s tirke. It had been somewhat torn apart for refurbishing when I got it, but aall of the parts seem to be there. I have it all together, but cannot get a spark to savemy life. The guy gave an extra coil he had laying around, but I can't get a spark with either one of them. i also replaced the CDI module, and still nothing. Does anyone know of any obvious fixes? If not, where do I start? Please help! Summer is wasting away and I haven't ridden the damn thing yet!

spark, eh?
ok, first make sure your grounds are good, like coil to frame etc.
Unscrew the sparkplug cap and see if spark jumps from the wire to the engine.
Those caps can go bad and also the last 1/4 inch of wire can corrode and
kill your continuuity.
The infamous kill switch can be unplugged. Off is left and right, center position is on.
Believe me, we've ALL missed that one a time or 2.
The air gap under the cover that says cdi might be full of conductive rust dust
and I think that component needs to ohm out at 19? or 20 with a very slim airgap.
Manuals are free in the 'world class help' section
and the 'trikesylvania' area gets tons more fix it traffic.
You'll get it.
Take breaks and come back to it.
Does it look like anyone tried to 'improve' the wiring anywhere?
