If you mean the hose coming off the lower part of the carb, it's just a drain or a vent and goes to the ground.

bikebandit.com might have exploded carb diagrams.
You may also find shop manuals in the
'world class help'
section on trikesylvania.
almost looks like some sort of breather for what looks like an accelerator pump
but that tells you how much I know.
Does it run good?

no it currently isnt running and with my very limited mechanical skills it looks like it will continue to be that way for a while. i thought that something was clogged in the carb so my more mechanical buddy quickly cleaned it today, and i know fuel gets into the bowl but im not sure if it comes out of the bowl. ive sprayed starter fluid through the air filter and it will fire up and rev high til all the starting fluid is burned up but then dies even though im holding the throttle. soooo im not really sure what my next step should be. if anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!

That plastic piece that you show in your picture, needs to be unscrewed and all that gunk inside of it needs cleaned out. One of you vent hoses will run down into there to kind of catch any stray oil and stuff. On the plastic vents on the carb, the left side vent gets a hose that runs up along the left of the backbone of the trike, sort of a high water vent. I think the other plastic carb vent goes to that plastic piece with the screw in it. Also, since the trike piston is lubricated with oil that is injected to the carb, be careful about putting too much either in that piston as it is scrubbing that oil off of your piston and making your trike wear those piston and rings out real fast. If your oil injection system isn't hooked up, then you need to premix your oil, just like in a weed whacker. You need to pick up a shop manual for your trike and do alot of reading before you make an expensive mistake.
