Slide the shift shaft into your case and mark it flush with the case . Thats the cut spot not at the splines , its almost at the link arm .

Counter shaft is what your looking for and the one in that ebay auction is the wrong part , it's a counter shaft but the wrong counter shaft .

Sorry to dredge this thread up,
Can I use S90 parts for this conversion? I have a S90 motor that I rebuilt a while back for a VanTech framed S90 that I've been hanging onto. Also I assume the top ends are interchangeable? I had the cylinder bored and installed the DrATV +4mm piston and his "hot" cam, I'd like to use those too if possible. This is on a 74 ATC90 motor.

Yep it will work just make sure the crank spacer/washer between the clutch and the crank is correct so the clutch arm is in the correct position . Do a test fit to make sure you have it correct .

Thanks! I was planning I doing a restoration on the Van Tech but it's been on the back burner for some time now. I would use the whole engine, but it's one of those 3 mounting lug cases. Might as well put the parts to use, lol.

I don't think many people on here realize what a van tech frame is. But it's about as trick as you can get for a 2 wheeled honda 90. And you really have to post pictures of it. I'm not sure what you have as far as a trike frame to put your 90 engine in?

Sorry abot the big pics. It doesnt look like much torn down, but here is the frame, tank, and seat. I scored it from a family friend who had it sitting in her basement for the last 40 years. It was a complete bike, I have it all dissasembled and waiting to get the frame powdercoated.

Here it is as I received it:

As for the ATC90, it's a stock 74 frame. I'd love to find an aftermarket frame at a reasonable price.

I've got a Bandito frame and a H&S stroker for a atc 90. I'll trade you for that VanTec.
