I was cleaning out some of my storage today and in a bin of random stuff I found a temp. scanner that I bought when I had an R/C truck. I was just wondering what sort of temp. range should I be aiming for. On the R/C engines, you tune them based on head temp.

For lack of better info, most water cooled 4 strokes don't like to boil, which is 212*F.
Altho most are under pressure so they can run hotter, it seems best not to.
I saw some thermometer dipsticks for hondas years ago.
I wonder why they never really caught on?
Some boat motors have a simple hot light.
I now wonder if they also shut off an engine that got too hot.
Sounds simple enough.
