I really want to replace the stock tires on my BR with something more aggresive..
I like mudding in the spring and showing up the 4wheelers as they winch their azzes out of the mud holes while I buzz right by them..
Thinking the ITP Mud Lite AT / 25x12x9 on the stock rims would be good..
I really want to stick with the stock size so I can have matching all around..don't want to alter the handling of the trike more than I have too..
Though Jason has some really cool alloy rims and big mudders, it's not my style and I don't want to spend that much dough. Especially on rims I will probably bang on a rock!!
Anyone have these on their BR..can you post a pic or 2 so I can see how they look?

you won't like the mudlights they have no bead guard and they don't clean out very nice when your in sticky mud. Just my .02 bear claws all the way

cant say about the mudlites, but Im running a set up interco swamp lites 25/12/9's they're light and clean out well. I dont think they're aggressive as the itp mude lites but I bet they weight less

I have Mudlites on the rear of my BR as does my friend. They are a great tire. No complaints. Definitely a huge improvement over regular tires. I can't comment about bear claws, but the mudlite is a great tire imo.

i have mud lites on my big red. they are a good tire for mud and snow, but i wish i would have went with the zilla's. imo the zilla's clean better they through huge globs of mud you will win a mud fight every time

ITP has a patented rim guard on all there tires. Mud Lites are alright for mud. But the regular AT models don't have really deep tread depth. They won;t get you out of every situation, but then again your probly not stupid enough to bury your Big Red like some quad guys do. These tires are ok for hard pack, cause they won't rattle your teeth out, and there lightweight so theres not much more strain then stock tires on your driveline.

I had some Bear Claws years ago on the back of my mid 90's Suzuki LT230 quadrunner sport 2x4 and those things would climb a tree. I never got stuck. The seemed like the best thing going compared to pricey vampires and such.

I like the looks of them, but I'm not sure they are enough for me..I want something a bit more aggressive. Maybe the Zilla's!!
Thanks for the pic thought..it gave me a the perspective I was looking for you can't see from the magazine pic.

dougspcs have you looked into Super Grip Super Lights? I am also about to purchase mud rears, had a line on cheap Bearclaws, but I thought the tire weight was too much, I heard a recommendation of Interco Swamp Lights for the type of Northern Ontario mud I ride in. I'm scared to go too aggressive because of the other 70% of time I'm on hard pack trail, or sometimes pavement. Gotta keep comfy ride and save the lugs. Let us know what you get!

I like them..I see what you mean about the weight of the Bear Claws. They weigh in a nearly 30lbs each...
I just pulled the trigger on a set of the Super Grip Super Lites..I'll let you know how they work out.
The other one might be needing a set before fall also..I may get the Zilla's I was looking at to compare.
Thanks for your input guys.

You are quite right hillbilly..here is one of the listings I found. Shows the 25x12.5x9 @ 28.9lbs

Couldn't find the 22x11x8 on this particular listing though..

I know i'm late, but, i've had two mudlites on my 250es for a few months. While i had them, i hated them, they don't have much traction at all when being compared to bearclaws. When my bearclaws on my es wear out, i will definitely be buying another set. The side lug on the bearclaws and the overall tread pattern put them on top of mudlites by far. But, yes, they weigh quite a bit more, but i never noticed a difference in power on my es when i switched from Mud lites, to the 26" kenda bearclaws.

Yeah Jason, I like those rims/tires you have..just for me I wanted to stick with the OEM size and those rims you put on were a little pimped for my taste..
Also a lot of dough..not to say they aren't cool!!

i love my bear claws i have had them for a long time and they are very low on tread in the middle and still do great with that side tread and the weight factor i think helps in mud

I got a brand new set here on the bench I'll let go for $85.00 ,you can pm me if you would like them. I have rims to but would cost to much to ship, but they are Douglas aluminum 9's . They have a set of paddles that my 250r turned them inside out at the dunes one day.

Well the Super Grip Super Lights order fell thru..found a company in Texas selling and placed an order. 3 / Super Grips at a total price of $191.25 shipped..decent right??
So I paid by paypal and got an email from the guy the next day asking for another $65 for shipping and price increase not listed on the site..
Cancelled and got a refund..
Anyway, just order a set of 3 / Bear Claws for $230 shipped from another supplier..I'll let you know how they are.
