1985 200x with a 200m conversion done very nice imo. Found this guy on CL and couldn't pass it up. I've only owned a 250 BR so this is quite different for me, and I love it! Supposedly the conversion was done for the previous owner's wife (who he ended up divorcing). He was a Honda tech and seems to have put some time into it.

Electric start w/ a custom battery box.
Seat seems to be from an earlier year (did some research, they seem to be blue for an 85?)

Front headlight shroud/light seems odd, but I'm not familiar with these. You can see where he put the switch and the light for neutral.

Nothing wrong with it at all other than it doesn't like to idle when cold. But I haven't messed with anything on it yet.
Not sure about the rear tires... are they for sand or something? I will be mostly trail riding and whatnot.

Cleaned it up yesterday, here's a few pics for those interested.

I especially like the custom key ignition installation...

Those tires would be great for just about any type riding..trail, a bit of mud, sand.

Pull the carb and clean thoroughly then reinstall and adjust..it will run like a champ. Check in the tank for rust of course..drain and refill if the gas is more than a year old.

Very cool..Nice little Auto X, I would love to find one it that condition. How much did you pay??

Definitely thinking about going through the carb. Seems to bog down just a little bit at times, maybe that's just the engine though not sure. Runs well at higher rpms for sure. Suspension seems nice solid, definitely a lot easier to turn than the BR. More nimble in every way. I'm more familiar with the 250 honda engine on the BR. Tank looks clean inside, just a few specs of rust, gas is good, starts right up. Idles well after it's warm, so I don't really want to mess with it too much but we'll see. Need to put the tail light on. Other than that, this thing is ready to go. Picked it up for 600 bones.

Real nice for 6 clams, way to go man. Can you take a closer pic of the down tube of the frame? it looks to have been cut, the ones I've sen in the past were banged with a hammer to make room for the starter.

He definitely modified the down tube. I will get a nice pic hopefully today or tomorrow.

Also, looking for an opinion on the following I might pick up:
1 mint custom painted gas tank
1 seat in like new condition
2 new carlisle at 22x11-8 trail pro (see pics)

He's asking $150. Is that a deal? I would keep my current tires and rims and switch out depending on conditions.

Also, do these things have a parking brake?

$150 for all?? holy shlt where do you find this stuff??

You found yourself you own personal little stash didn't you?

You suck!! ;)

And yeah your 200x would have had a park brake..probably discarded with all the mods for the 200X/AutoX change over..clutch handle for brake handle switch and all that.

Snatch those items up, man! Nice tank & seat. the tires, well, a lot of folks here don't care for 'em. IMO a tire's a tire, unless you're a racer, then I see not liking them. But I say if it holds air I don't care what brand it is.
Good luck with this trike, you got a great deal. Keep us posted, TGG...................................

Good looking ride!! Makes me wish I would have picked up that 250SX for $500 a couple weeks ago. So with the 200m you get the electric start and auto clutch, very cool.

That would be nice for me seeing how A. I've never ridden/driven anything with a manual clutch, and B. my left hand (birth defect) makes it next to impossible to grip the clutch while hanging on to the handle bars. It is why I prefer Big Reds or other Hondas with a semi auto clutch.

I missed out on the tank and tires. I don't NEED them , so I'm ok with it. First trail test is this friday on a friend's land. Should be a good time. Should also have a pic of the down tube later today I hope.
