i need to know the easiest way to take off the rear end and disassemble it. once the tires are off and chain and break cables are unattached, and the four bolts hold the rear in place will it just come off?

i have a new break drum, pads, housing, and bearings ready to be put on i just need to know how to take the rear apart. because going from the right side doesnt work cause you cant get the rear break system off that side. im thinking i have to take it off on the left side which means taking off the rear sprocket. is this correct?

first time doing this so the best description and easiest way will be helpful.

Please stop what you are doing! Do not go any further without downloading a Honda shop manual for your trike. The rear brake needs to come off. You need to release any and all pressure off the rear brake shoes so they will contract enough so the rear brake drum will slide over them. If it is still factory, there should be a cover over the rear brake drum and it has to come off before the rear brake drum. Download the manual and read it before you make an expensive mistake. That's what the manuals are for.

for one there is no break shoes or drum anymore. got it that way so there is no pressure at all. it is completely factory and the cover is off the drum housing. there is nothing left to the break system except the back housing and where the cables connect.

that wasnt really what i was hoping for when i asked for assistance. i was hoping to get someone who knows what they are doing when referring to big reds not sport 3 wheelers.

I wouldn't discredit vealmonkey, he knows his business, also he is just trying to help you by telling you to download a manual, it will be a life saver in the long run I always make sure I have one for each of my trikes before I ever start working on them. if you are wondering where they are here is a link to get a manual. http://www.oscarmayer.net/atc/manuals/

What are you talking about? That is great assistance. A manual has everything in it that you will ever need.

I bow my head in dis-honor and concede the point to those who can't get their trike apart and don't use a shop manual. I am unworthy for suggesting the use of a shop manual and I will hereby begin my self flogging.
Fabio, you my friend are a pot stirrer. LOL
Zack, he wrote the chain is removed.

Yeah, Veal is one of these trike noobs, all he has is a ratty 200m, the rest are lies, all those tons of photos of unique trikes, racing pics, builds, everything, are nothing but cheap photo jobs. The trikes that people have saw? That same 200M with a fiberglass body and some spray bombs.

Manual Schmanual, just take a BFH and get it off the fun way!

((I kid of course, listen to Veal, he is one smart, experienced cookie. He is the cookie that sits packed with goodies on the plate staring you down, and you just can't bring yourself to eat it it's so packed with knowledge and wisdom.))

Wait, so nobody else's cookies talk to em? Odd........... :D

Now people don't want to eat my cookies! The shame of it all. This calls for another round of self flogging.

i already took it off with out a manual. wasnt hard to figure out. patience, a little engineering skills and a 12 pack did the trick. nothing against you monkey but if you got no information about big reds you should stick to you racing 3 wheelers. some people dont need a book to understand how things work or how to fix things.

Then why did you ask for help in the first place?

Hey Veal maybe you can help this guy figure out which is a better trike a 200x or a 350x on his other thread. Just an idea sense you know about them there racing 3wheelers! All joking aside if you have never worked on a trike before its best to have the manual to look at there a god sent. Veal has just trying to give you the best advise he could to help.

All I have to say is wow.... You're not the smartest tool in the shed are you? Lol. Don't come on here asking for help, if you're going to decline the best advice you could ever get.
