So I got in a major car accident and have been blind (retinal detachment) for the better part of 2 months. I'm going stir crazy and my brother finds me an atc70 on craigslist that I can trade for my M1 carbine. SOLD
I've been atv-less for the last 3 years due to travel.
We pick up this beast and I spend the last week in our 100+* North Mexico heat (houston) outside fumbling around in my tool drawers getting it up and running.
Well after I crash about 20 times at low speed I determine it needs more torque. (rear tires are a good 2-3 inches taller than stock) So I order a 12 tooth front and 38 tooth rear sprocket to replace the 13/36. Problem is my chain is just not quite right without doing some chain tensioner relocation or something.
I was thinking about drilling another hole for the chain tensioner to make it more adjustable but I'm not really capable of fancy things like that right now. Is there something I'm missing or did I just make a poor ratio choice?
