Does anyone have a trick or method they use to put new bearings into their carrier? (85 250R) Or, should I find someone with a bearing press and make sure there are no mistakes? Seems to be something simple but that's what scares me, don't want to mess that up. Let me know your thoughts and/or secrets. Thanks.

R?
Swing arm bearings are the nightmare, I think.
Carrier? as in rear axle bearings?

Manuals are free in the 'world class help' section
but I've replaced bearings by freezing them
and heating whatever they go into with a hairdryer or a lil' bit o' propang heat.
Usually gives you a thousandths or 2 extra to weasel them in there.

If it's as I picture it...one bearing on each side a few inches apart,
A long bolt with the right size washers and just pull them in together towards each other by
tightening the nut...nicely aligned, slowly and careful, might just walk themselves in.

or
if it's off the machine, how much would a shop charge for 5 minutes work?
did you get the old ones out?
did they come out easy?
too easy?

If you're really in tune, you may be able to fit the outer races with the correct diameter pipe
and smack THAT with a 2x4 or deadblow, which is probably what they'll do at the shop.
