New 86-87 Tecate extended axles

Just wondering what the demand for a new Tecate extended axle would be.

How many Tecate owners would be in the market for an actual extended axle made for the Tecate.

Ready to go, no modifications, no swapping over to Honda carriers.

Just wondering.

So no one would be interested in brand new durablue axles for the 86 and 87 tecates if I could get my hands on a few?

They would be +4 over stock and between $500 and $700, depending on what I could pick them up for.

I would ask durablue how many need to be purchased in order for them to make them, after you
Get the number start a list of buyers.

well so far, I have had 1 person say they would buy an axle, so I don't believe it is feasible, I would need to sell about 10 axles. So if I can get 10 axles sold, I would make the order.

PM me if you would be interested.

Updated price. they would actually be between $400 and $500. But I would be fronting the money, so I am not going to buy them unless I get atleast 10 ppl that say they want one. Im sure a couple would back out, but I need to know there is atleast interest before I go spending that much cash.

I'm in for one if the price is closer to the $400 mark. Any other takers yet?

Haha, i thought the same thing when i saw this. Greg isn't going to get what he wants for his +6 new in the box no but as it is they are worth 450.00-600.00 used what happens when you put 20 new axles into a market that has very few to begin with. an old axle becomes worth 150.00 thats what

I'm sorry, i should have left the joking out of my post. It seemed in insensitive. Yea, is definitely going to drive down the price, you're exactly right. Thats the hard part about collecting this stuff. You can pay x amount for a part then a year later its reproduced and you lost z amount on it. Happened to me on a couple parts on my nova. Good for the group doesn't necessarily = good for you or me.

Haha, i thought the same thing when i saw this. Greg isn't going to get what he wants for his +6 new in the boxI didnt really take it as joking since it's a fact. As soon as it's installed its only worth half of what he wants for it. As far as a group buy on new ones I am really on the fence about it.I wouldnt mind getting one myself but on the other hand....I guess I will wait to see if it happens

An update,

The axles have been ordered and paid for. I will receive them in 2-3 months. As of now, all the axles ordered are spoken for. If there is anyone that still wants an axle, let me know. I have roughly 2-3 weeks to add more axles to the order. Let me know if you have any questions.

To all have committed to buying an axle, (you know who you are). Please email me with a good email address (one you check regularly) and include your 3WW user name. I know the site has been having some issues, so I would like contact info from everyone that has committed to purchasing, or if you are interested in an axle you can contact me via email and PM.

Thanks, Aaron

And to all who want an axle that did not sign up for the group buy. I will get back to you when I figure out how many original buyers back out and how many axles are available. But, I do not think they will be offered at the original group buy price, this will be determined once I know how many axles are left, I'm sure there will be 1 or 2 that will come back up for sale, already have a few people coming up with some interesting reasons as to why they cannot get an axle. I obviously had 1 extra, but it has since been spoken for off of an ebay sale. Be patient my friends, I will know more in the next few weeks, but I am giving the original buyers every chance to purchase their axles before I start pawning them off.

i received mine yesterday. here is it next to a stock 87 axle. it traveled half over the world. i`m really happy with it looks well made. thanks aaron for the unproblematic tansfer. the only thing i don't like are the spacers for the hubs. i think i'll make some stainless ones.

Shock spring is black, handle bars, radiators, engine, and a few other things. I have another swing arm that I will do differently, but for now it was easiest to just send that one to powder and put it on there. Should have more pictures in a couple days.
