I bought this 70 over the weekend. It was advertised as having great plastic and an almost perfect seat. I go to look at it and was floored at what I saw. It was spray bombed purple at one time, but currently sports a spray bomb black coat. It has a honda c70 passport motor in it. Kid said it didnt have spark. Well it was missing the points plate. Got one from a buddy that had one lying around. Took the tank off and it has a smashed up frame right behind the fork neck. Going to try to get her running, but I am fairly sure it will be getting a Lifan 140 in the future. Also planning on stretching the frame about 4". Right now it is on the back burner. I should have time to play with it come spring. It takes up very little space in the shed and the wife doesnt even know it is there.

Oh yeah I paid $25 for it.

IMO, I wouldnt stretch the frame much if any at all.
It makes them handle worse IMO.
Good foundation for a bigblock though.

supposedly he got it from a buddy that gave it to him for welding the frame on his go kart. I dont think he did much to it to help its form or function.

Well I want to cut out the section that is cocked up from the hammer and the 1/4" rod welded on the side of the frame to "stiffen it up". May just go 2" to replace the crappy looking section. Plus it will allow a little knee clearance.

the C70 engine has electric start and the starter is in the way to run the carb in the normal position. they most likely just grabbed what they had to try to make it work. if you name this trike you should call it the abortion.

not to bad of a deal, a start of a project, funny I bought one from NJ and the frame was smashed up almost exactly like that. Who thinks a large hammer can straighten a frame?lol
