I went and looked at a 200 x . When I got there the bike looked like a 200R. The guy said he wasnt sure if it was an x or an R.. It had an R wheel on the front????
Any way this bike looked really good, Tires, plastics,Chain , sprokets, nothing bent, or broke.. Didnt looked like it had been wrecked...
Heres the deal tho... He said it had a new clucth, and that the engine had just been rebiult and bored 10 over... He said he was riding the hell out of it right after the rebuild and it started blowing oil out..He said it was the upper gasket.. The bike had good compression.... It will not start... Should I just stay away from this???

Gotta get pics man. We know nothing without seeing it. I am fairly certain it isn't a 200R though.

Is it 4 stroke, or 2?

He said the top half of the motor was blowing out oil... He called it the top gasket.. Ok I'll get the pics up... It looks like an r to me. I'm no expert. I looked on the steering colum and didnt see a tag, It didnt have any rivit holes or any indication that it had been removed.. My big reds have the model on the steering colum.. Was I looking in the wrong place?

4 stroke
He said the guy that rebuilt it told him he ran it to hard right after the rebuild, and should have broke it in..?????

I would go for it, could be a 50 buck fix, and you'll have yourself one hell of a trike. Even if it is a gasket, they are easy to replace.

That's a 200x!

Definitely not a 200 r. It has an aftermarket tank on it. 300 bucks may not be bad if you can do your own work. Does it have rear fenders and a seat? If not I wouldn't buy it.

No such thing as a 200R except for a unique factory racer at one point.

That's a 200X, MAJOR difference.

Looks first gen too, 85 maybe, with a........IT tank on it maybe?

no such thing as a 200R unless you're talking about this http://pictureposter.allbrand.nu/pictures/deathman53/200+shoot+out-3.jpg.html

Hell I'd pic it up, if you do run into probs just consider it a learning experience. Even without fenders and seat, $300 isn't bad in my opinion.

Around here, and trikes are a rare site around here to begin with, a first gen X is still about $500 for a decent rider. First gens just aren't worth near as much, and without fenders or seat......
